FAITH BASED FINANCES

From the beginning of this ministry it has been my conviction that the activities of the ministry would be offered at no charge to those we serve in Jesus name. Funding would come from those who God has led to agree with our statement of faith and method of evangelism. I do not make it a practice to write grants nor conduct fund raisers, nor offer gifts in return for donations. When asked to speak for the ministry, I do not make a plea for funds. Our financial needs are made known as a statement in our news letter and the results are in God`s hands. Neither myself or Crew receive compensation other than meals and lodging when necessary to carry out the ministry duties. The ministry expenses average $25,000.00 annually. (major breakdowns are the exception).  We have received funds from some of the organizations whose teens we serve as they recognize the value to their residents. Also some event sponsors have offered to donate to us. A number of churches have provided support annually and individual gifts are the largest percent of giving. In addition, we have received discounts at various stores for items related to the vessel. On occasion we have received donated boats which we resell to provide for income. We have never had to borrow funds and all property of the ministry is paid for. Yet our funds on hand will only meet the expenses for a couple of months. The ministry is God`s and as long as we are faithful to our call, He is faithful to provide!  Captain Chad
