Captain Chad is the founder of the B-About Sail Ministry in 1982.
He is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain, holding a 50 ton
Masters License with sailing endorsement.
He is the Captain of the schooner "Journey"
(65ft. & 24 ton displacement) our ministry vessel.
He is a Certified Childcare Worker with 12 years experience in
Residential Treatment for troubled teens.
He also has a current ministry in two Juvenile Detention Centers.
Captain Chad is available for speaking engagements
and memorial services.
He is a member of Gideons International,
Christian Boaters Association
and Christ Community Church, (Evangelical Free Church).
He and his wife Ellie have been married since 1963 with
two married children and two Grandchildren.
Both families are in ministry of their calling.

I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior
August 24, 1979 at Camp Patmos on
Kelleys Island, Ohio, Lake Erie.
I received my calling in August
of 1981 at the same camp." To
